Who we are
A foundation that grew out of the village it serves.
The Likmabam Bino Devi Foundation was established in October 2011 and formally registered in 2022. In the years between, it did what small organisations in Manipur have always done: worked without a letterhead, in rural areas and relief camps, with children, women and tribal families who were not being reached by anyone else.
Today that work is organised into seven programmes, but the method has not changed. We ask the community what it needs, we do it in the open, and we stay long enough for it to matter.
Our vision
A sustainable society that promotes and protects equality, social justice and human rights for all.
Our mission
Empowering lives through education and skill development for sustainable change.
By the numbers
Small figures, measured honestly.
We would rather publish a number we can stand behind than a headline we cannot. These are the figures recorded in our own returns and our NGO Darpan filing.

What we do
Seven programmes, one community.
Each one answers something a family in Thoubal actually asked for. They overlap on purpose: a child who gets a meal stays in school, and a mother with an income keeps her there.
“Every third child born in India is underweight. Forty million of them never go to school. We cannot change that number. We can change it for the children in front of us.”
In motion
Footage from the field.
Relief convoys, village rallies and school stages, filmed as they happened, including coverage by Manipur's local press.
Transparency
Every registration, published in full.
Transparency and accountability are two of our eight stated organisational values. We publish our incorporation certificate, Section 8 licence, 12A and 80G approvals, PAN and NGO Darpan record so that nobody has to take our word for any of it.

Questions
Questions before you give.
Is my donation to Likmabam Bino Devi Foundation tax deductible?
Yes. The foundation holds 80G certification under the Income Tax Act, 1961 (Form 10AC reference AAFCL0195DF20221), so Indian taxpayers can claim a deduction on their donation. A receipt is issued for every contribution.
Where does the foundation actually work?
Our programme work is concentrated in Thoubal district, Manipur, with activity across the state. The registered office is in North West Delhi; the field office and governing council sit in Thoubal.
Is the foundation a registered organisation?
Yes. It is a Section 8 non-profit company registered with the Registrar of Companies, Delhi (CIN U85300DL2022NPL397982) on 19 May 2022, holds 12A and 80G certification, and is listed on NITI Aayog's NGO Darpan portal as DL/2024/0389382.
Can I volunteer with the foundation?
Yes, on the ground in Thoubal and remotely. We need teachers and reading volunteers, medical professionals for camps, trainers for self-help groups, and help with documentation and communications. Write to us through the Get Involved page.
Does the foundation accept foreign donations?
Not at present. The foundation does not hold FCRA registration, so it can only receive donations from Indian sources. Supporters abroad can help through partnerships, in-kind support and advocacy.
Stand with Thoubal
A notebook, a meal, a sapling, a year of school.
Every rupee the foundation receives turns into something a family in Thoubal can hold. Your donation is eligible for 80G tax deduction.
