Relief & Emergency Response
When the 2023 crisis displaced families across Manipur, and again when rain and thunderstorm damage swept through homes and farmland, the foundation ran convoys of relief material into the camps. It remains our most urgent work.

How it works
Relief is logistics before it is anything else. Our teams source rice, pulses, bedding, sanitary supplies and children's essentials, load them at Thoubal, and deliver directly to camps and schools acting as shelters, including Waragai Higher Secondary School and several village relief points.
We distribute in the open, in front of the people being served and the local press, with lists checked against the camp register. That is partly accountability and partly the simplest way to make sure the families who need a kit most are not the ones at the back of the queue.
Manipur's floods damage farmland as well as houses. Where we can, we follow the emergency kit with help restoring a family's ability to earn again, which is where this programme hands over to our livelihood work.
On the ground
- Dry ration and cooked-food distribution in relief camps
- Bedding, tarpaulin and hygiene kits for displaced families
- Sanitary and childcare supplies for women and infants in camps
- Flood and storm damage response across Thoubal district
- Coordination with camp administrators and local authorities
