How donations are used

Donations go into the foundation's programme work in Thoubal district, Manipur: education and the community library, relief and emergency response, health and nutrition, livelihoods and agriculture, environment, sport and culture, and rights work.

Unless you tell us otherwise, your donation is treated as unrestricted, which lets the governing council direct it to wherever the need is sharpest that month. If you want your donation applied to a specific programme, say so when you give and we will honour it.

Receipts and 80G

The foundation holds 80G certification under the Income Tax Act, 1961 (Form 10AC reference AAFCL0195DF20221). Indian taxpayers can claim a deduction on their donation.

A receipt is issued for every donation. If you donate by bank transfer or UPI, please email the transaction reference and your PAN to foundationlikmabambinodevi@gmail.com so that your receipt can be issued correctly.

Foreign contributions

The foundation does not hold FCRA registration and cannot accept donations from foreign sources. If a foreign contribution reaches us in error it will be returned in full.

Refunds

Donations are voluntary gifts and are generally not refundable, because funds are committed to programmes quickly. We will, however, refund a donation in the following circumstances:

  • A duplicate or accidental transaction, for example the same amount sent twice.
  • An incorrect amount entered in error, where the difference can be returned.
  • An unauthorised transaction on your account.
  • Any donation we are not legally permitted to accept.

How to request a refund

Write to foundationlikmabambinodevi@gmail.com within 15 days of the transaction with the date, amount and reference number. We will verify the transaction and, where a refund is due, process it to the original payment method within 15 working days.

Where an 80G receipt has already been issued for the donation, the receipt will be cancelled and you must not claim a deduction against it.

Cancelling a recurring donation

If you have set up a recurring donation, you can stop it at any time by writing to foundationlikmabambinodevi@gmail.com or calling +91 93816 79738. We will confirm the cancellation in writing and will not take any further instalment.

Questions

Any question about a donation can be sent to foundationlikmabambinodevi@gmail.com or raised by phone on +91 93816 79738. We would always rather hear about a problem than have you assume it cannot be fixed.
