Impact

What we have done, and what we still cannot prove.

Small organisations are under constant pressure to publish big numbers. We have decided not to. Below is what the foundation's own records support, plus an honest note about where the gaps are.

District, deeply

Thoubal. We would rather be everywhere in one district than nowhere in ten.

Where our measurement is still weak

The foundation has said so itself. Our own profile notes that results-based planning and monitoring, and the generation of lessons learned and best practice, will require further improvement. We are building that capacity rather than publishing figures we cannot stand behind. If you fund us, you will get the real numbers, including the disappointing ones.

The record

Four things worth describing properly.

The 2023 Manipur response

When thousands of families were displaced across the state, the foundation ran convoys of rice, pulses, bedding, tarpaulin and hygiene kits into camps and school shelters, including Waragai Higher Secondary School. Distributions were carried out in the open and recorded, and the operation was covered by Manipur's local news channels as it happened.

Relief & emergency response

A library that children actually use

The community reading room is open to any child in the village, stocked with illustrated readers, and supervised by volunteers who sit with the youngest readers rather than policing them. It is the single piece of infrastructure we are proudest of, and the cheapest thing we run.

Education & community libraries

Meals that keep children in the classroom

The nutrition programme serves hot mid-day meals to young children in the villages we work in. It is the most reliable lever we have found on attendance: children come, and they stay through the afternoon.

Health & family welfare

Trees planted by the people who will water them

Plantation drives run through partner schools, with students choosing, planting and taking responsibility for saplings on school and village land. Each World Environment Day the programme closes with painting competitions and a prize-giving.
